Reverend Tax will meet at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning, room 151. Representative
Ship it to the dispensary without the testing being done, and then they find out it doesn't meet, and then it has to come back. Does this fix that problem? My understanding is
Will this fix that problem? Will they be able to test them while they're
Thank you. So we still have the issue where it could
go out the door, and then they have to go back and buy back the product if it doesn't match, if it
doesn't meet? When you say go out the door, can
You're recognized for a question. Representative Pilkington, at one time when we were speaking to the manufacturers, the cultivators, like the gummies or whatever they're making, there had been some loophole or issue that they couldn't actually test their own manufactured products in where they were cultivated, but they had to go actually buy them, and then if they found that they didn't actually meet the standards, then they had to go back buy all that stock.
your question what was your question but I just want to make sure so if I do go through and I get a civil judgment because of neglect, this will exempt them from being able to be garnished a 401k that I
which they're really not but anyway so but am I reading this correct is what I wanted
not just for a creditor but for
a civil judgment that maybe I went through the civil courts and somebody from like I said for their negligence will just make sure it's for both to me most people look at it it's two different types of judgment
money that I'm due because of your negligence in these accounts is that correct
creditor where I've loaned you money but I'm an individual that got damaged through your negligence and I go through the court system and I'm awarded an award this is prohibiting me from being able to get the
for a question sorry representative just a quick question so i just want to make sure i understand so if i'm wronged by an individual say i'm not a
And what we're doing here is we're setting up new licensures and new quality of care requirements in it. And that's really what we're doing. Through our work, we found out that we had a loophole. It needed to be fixed, and that's what this bill is doing. And I'd be glad to take any questions. With that, I
your bill. Thank you, Mr. Speaker. 1653 is a bill that's come out of our mental health work group that we've been having for about the last four years. For those that don't know what a PRTFN is, a psychiatric residential treatment facility.
And we have to find a way to balance both of those. And that's what this bill is trying to do. And with that, I would appreciate a good vote. All right. Committee, you've
It has caused health issues. And instead of getting better, it's getting worse. And so I think as someone who understands the importance of why they have to burn, I'll say again, if we don't do something, this practice that they need desperately to farm is going to go away because the outcry from the citizens are going to be so great.
That's all this bill does. As Representative Richmond said, it is the soft-hand approach. I'm not finding the bad players. When that bill was first approached, the fines freaked everybody out, which I understand. I'm not big on regulation, but I'm also not big on self-regulating when you've had six to seven years and it's not been successful. And it has caused death.
And this isn't a requirement that they get approval from the Department of Ag to burn. All it says is that you will report to the Department of Agriculture when you burn, And if you follow these guidelines that the farming industry and the ag industry is going to be a part of developing, if you follow those, you'll get liability protection. And, oh, by the way, the information is not foliable so that you've got protection.
