Terms of Service
Last updated October 5, 2026.
These terms cover your use of Said in Committee ("the service", "we"). By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What the service is
Said in Committee archives Arkansas General Assembly committee meetings and makes them searchable. It is unofficial and not affiliated with the Arkansas General Assembly or any state agency.
Transcripts are generated by machine and speaker names are partly automatic guesses. Both can be wrong. Archived documents may not reflect later amendments. The official record is the meeting video and the documents published by the legislature. Check the video before you quote, cite, or rely on anything here. Every quote links to its moment in the video so you can.
Free and paid features
Searching, reading meeting pages, and downloading transcripts are free and do not require an account. Alerts and bill follows require a paid plan. Plans and prices are listed on the pricing page.
Accounts
- Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Give a working email address so we can reach you about your account and billing.
- A team or agency plan covers the members its owner invites. The owner is responsible for who has access.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance, through our payment processor, Stripe. There is no setup fee and no minimum term.
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refunded for partial periods.
- If a payment fails or a plan ends, alerts pause. Your saved alerts are kept and resume, catching up on what they missed, when the plan is active again.
- We may change prices. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you before then.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Disrupt the service or overload it, including by automated scraping at a rate that degrades it for others.
- Try to get into accounts, data, or systems that aren't yours.
- Resell or share a paid account outside the people your plan covers.
- Present a machine transcript as an official record, or misattribute a quote you know to be wrong.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Content
The meetings and documents are public records. We claim no ownership of them. Our transcripts, indexes, and speaker identifications may be quoted and cited with attribution to Said in Committee. Corrections you submit (for example, a speaker report) may be used to improve the archive.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or that an alert will arrive on time or at all. Alerts are a convenience. They do not replace watching the official calendar.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll post it here and email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas.
