In respect from memory of Mister Marvin nine and in recognition of his many contributions to the state of Arkansas. Whereas Mr Martin non was born on may thirty first nineteen forty six and passed away on October third twenty twenty one at seventy five years of age caress Mr none was born in Marvell Arkansas and was educated in the Marvel School District and attended Arkansas agricultural mechanical and normal college currently known as the University of Arkansas at pine bluff and whereas after completing his education Mr nine was drafted into the United States Army in nineteen sixty seven and received his training at fort Polk Louisiana and Fort Sill Oklahoma and whereas after Mr non service in the United States Army he became a marble city police officer and eventually became a state trooper and. Whereas Mr non efficiently and effectively serve the Arkansas state police for nearly twenty five years and retired as a corporal on June thirtieth two thousand eight. And warrants Mr non served in many leadership positions during his life and was honored to escort Muhammad Ali when the boxer visited Arkansas. And where is Mister nine is survived by his wife Katie Whitaker none his daughters Valerie non brown kisha Bally Kiana non challenger Scott and a host of other friends and family members there is a long list here so I won't read them all but just know we respect the fact that everybody is a part of this Mabley and they are listed here. Now therefore be it resolved by the Senate of the ninety third General Assembly of the State of Arkansas that the Senate of the ninety third General Assembly mourn the passing of Marvin I'm not and recognize the impact he had on Arkansas be it further resolved that the individual members of the Senate hereby expressed sincere condolences to the family of Marvin none and upon adoption of this resolution an appropriate copy shall be provided to the family of Mr non by the Secretary of the Senate. Senate memorial resolution two by Senator Clark Chesterfield Elliott English mark Johnson and Hammer respectful memory of major dean Douglas the second and recognition of his many contributions to the state of Arkansas. Sir Clark you're recognized thank you know I'm inviting the the delegation from Pulaski County to join me for this Senate memorial resolution for a true life of service in respectful memory of major Dan Douglas the second. In recognition of his many contributions to the state of Arkansas whereas major Douglas was born on may twenty seventh nineteen seventy one and handed Virginia and passed away on November twenty six two thousand twenty one in Little Rock after suffering an injury while serving in the line of duty the metropolitan emergency medical services here and in town and we're as major Douglas join United States Navy in nineteen eighty nine and served in operation desert storm or as major Douglas later became a paramedic with metropolitan emergency medical services and a volunteer with the gravel ridge fire department where he held the rank of captain. And we're as major Douglas efficiently and effectively serve metropolitan emergency medical services for twenty eight years and were as major Douglas assisted with the response to hurricane Katrina in two thousand five it's not in the resolution but I'll add that's where he met his wife. Or as an as an organ and tissue donor major Douglas continue to serve others even after his death by giving aid organ recipients second chance of life it's not a resolution but I also know that at his service his family requested that everyone bring an unwrapped toy for toys for tots this Christmas. And we're as major Douglas is survived survived by his wife brandy Douglas children Braley Cameron and Maddie his parents dean and Ernestine Douglas and his nephew James his nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Major Douglas was born he served in the navy he served for over two decades with dams here in central Arkansas he was a volunteer fireman he went to Katrina to serve he lived his life to serve he passed away while serving and continue to serve even after you he lost his life here on earth now therefore be it resolved by the Senate of the ninety third General Assembly of the State of Arkansas that the Senate of the ninety third General Assembly mourn the passing of major Dan Douglas the second and recognize the impact he had on Arkansas be it further resolved the individual members of the Senate hereby expresses sincere condolences to the family of major Dan Douglas second and upon adoption of this resolution an appropriate copy shall be provided to the family by the Secretary of the Senate I have another family is is watching at home right now so I appreciate a good vote and and let them know how much we honor the life of major D. Hi Senator Hammer I think I think we've got a mall shoulder shoulders kind of. Looking for coach James were you. Members thank you for the latitude to honor the Brian football team for time in a row seven A. state champions the person to do so in the state's highest classification in the modern playoff ERA stands before you enter in the chamber today and we are here today to recognize in the form of a Senate resolution to graduate the bright orange high school football team on winning the twenty twenty one class seven A. state championship whereas the twenty twenty one Bryant high school Hornets football team claimed the class seven H. eight state champions ship trophy after defeating the Fayetteville high school purple Bulldogs in a forty two to thirty eight a victory at the war Memorial Stadium in little rock Arkansas whereas the hundred twenty five member Brian horse football team were led by head coach Bob change to the high school or to the schools unprecedented fourth consecutive state championship and whereas McCollum Graham was named the Most Valuable Player of the class seven A. championship game and we're as the Hornets were also supported by additional coaches including assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Kurt Bock defensive coordinator quad Sanders linebackers coach Travis quick defensive line coach B. J. Schuler offensive line coach Jane Clancy running backs tight ends and special teams coach Adam Pendergrass receivers coach Julian Jones and defensive backs coach Terrell Williams and whereas the Hornets were supported by athletic trainers including Christopher any heather jolly and Dr Adam Carson's PT and where as the Hornets were supported by additional staff including past Robbie tingle pastor Peter Cunningham Seth L. Kerr right high school principal Dr Todd Edwards superintendent Karen Walters and athletic director Deon Shepherd and where's coach James said quote winning a fourth straight championship is anime. Well I really appreciated I I hope that the everybody understands not publicly want to make a statement that our kids what they did and what they've been able to accomplish is really second to none in the thing that I'm probably proud of the most is that every kid news roll every kid did his job but more importantly their parents let us coach made it easy to be a football player. Ministration allow us to coach these kids to make them the best that they can possibly be and you know I just don't happen out there in the real world nowadays everybody wants a trophy and nobody's really Rwanda earned in these guys went to work every day with the odds against him because it everybody that wanted chokes in the last couple years and gone and it was a new group of gas and what they did was they picked up the slack and they made it happen and that's testament to these guys I totally twenty five years now they all have a chance to be a millionaire because or willing to work they have great discipline they have commitment to team and that is something that we're missing today society needs guys got it by the barrel schools and I think they are to be applauded for.
