you for pitching. Yeah. The peer review subcommittee met yesterday, April 15th. The subcommittee received reports, reviewed requests, and approved the following. Various temporary appropriation, American Rescue Plan Act appropriation, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act appropriation, restricted reserve fund transfers, and a reallocation of resources. Two items in the report are held. K-2 discretionary grants for DHS are held for the next peer review meeting. L-4, which was a contract number 8 with DHS and EMS L-I-N-Q, is held for today's meeting. DHS has provided information since the meeting. Representative Richardson is releasing his hold on this contract. I move adoption of the report, including review of contract number 8 in L-4.

All right. Thank you, Senator. Members, do we have any questions on the report? Seeing Senator Flowers.
Senator Stephanie Flowers

3:19
Yes, I have a question. That letter B, the American Rescue Plan Act appropriation request, those are return funds. Where are they being returned to? To the federal government. Okay. And it was because they did not use them? They weren't necessary?
Senator Missy Irvin
Unverified
3:43
That's correct. They were not used within the time frame given under the federal parameters.
Senator Stephanie Flowers
Unverified
3:48
So as a matter of them not using in the time frame, so fraud detection, that money was not used in the time?
Senator Missy Irvin
Unverified
4:00
Yes, they used money that they received, but they just didn't expend all of that money. So the things that they weren't able to expend, we are returning. And there's no request, or there
Senator Stephanie Flowers

um again so if you've got a hold on a bill it's time to to get to work and let's work through whatever's happening there and then uh if if you can't do that before thursday and and do not have a reason that you can explain to the committee those will be released senator hester you recognized i appreciate that announcement i guess what
