CHAIR. I THINK I MISSED A LITTLE BIT OF THE DISCUSSION ON THE WORK REQUIREMENT. I APOLOGIZE ABOUT THAT. BUT CAN YOU EXPLAIN, OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE
MEMBERS OF THE SIMPLE BILL I WANT TO THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR BEING COSPONSOR THIS BILL SIMPLY SAYS THAT IN THE FUTURE WHEN UTILITIES DECIDE TO ENTER INTO SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS OF ANY KIND THAT RESULT IN THE CLOSURE OF GENERATION ASSETS THAT THE PSC HAS A SEAT AT THE TABLE THEY GET TO BE A PARTY TO THAT DISCUSSION BE HAPPY TO TAKE ANY QUESTIONS

There's some folks out there that have some wild religious beliefs that we would all agree kids should not be subjected to. So what are the protections for kids in those instances when you've got people that want to handle deadly snakes or just for example.
Thank you, Mr. President, and thank you, Senator Clark, for bringing this bill. I think I understand and I agree there's good reason for religious folks to be concerned about being discriminated against when they're trying to adopt kids. You know, there are people out there who feel like you and I would be monsters because we discipline our children with a spanking. But we both recognize that there are other religious folks out there with beliefs that we would consider extreme. So what prevents those people from...
is a simple bill that just says the state needs to have a seat at the table when these agreements are looked at in the future. I appreciate most of you are signed on as co-sponsors. The utilities have had their input and are not opposed, so I'd appreciate a good vote. I'd be happy to answer any questions you
really like to vote for a bill like this, but I'd really like, like Senator Clark has said, some definitions and some clarity to handle those in instances where there are disputes between the renter and
You know, it's a competitive business. I guess my concern there, though, is the lack of definitions. I don't know. It seems open-ended to me. I understand what you're trying to do, and I appreciate it. Well,
on it. Which happens quite frequently. So that $25,000 damage mark for the Class B felony, or see if it's below that. Is there anything that specifies how the renter is setting their prices? Are those prices have to be set in the contract beforehand? Well, they're set according to what other rental stores rent for.
Obviously, those things aren't going to run in the $25,000 range. But, I mean, you're looking at felonies here if you keep equipment longer than you were
So I think I understand the impetus behind this. My concern as someone who rents equipment from time to time is the lack of definitions, I guess. So if I keep a piece of equipment knowingly or not knowingly, what is, is there a time period that's specified whereby which I, I mean, obviously I don't do this, but I know that there's people out there But if I forget that I've got this piece of equipment, because I mean, it's everything from backhoes and trailers, right, to small saws and things like that.
Secretary McKee. Thank you, Mr. Chair.
