we're going to get started. I've got a quick amendment that Mr. Kalen Hyland I think wants to present. Senator Breanne. Davis you are welcome to go right ahead. And Senator Davis Tell us which bill this is for.

parts within the United States. And this bill does two things. One, it exempts them from a penalty, and they have one year after they come back from their deployment, just like if you were going overseas to pay their property tax. The catch in it is that when they come back, they have to show with orders or with DD-214 that I was really down there on the border. Those two things is a good bill. It will help our National Guard and will help some of our active duty members.

It will help some active duty members, but we have more and more of our National Guard that are deploying for long periods of time on the border or other

Transportation, Technology & Legislative Affairs (Senate) — April 7, 2025 (1:10)

We're hoping that the federal government does away with it nationwide, but what this bill does is as long as these vehicles are within the state of Arkansas, they're not required to have this piece of equipment on their vehicles, on their trucks. With that, I'll stand by for your questions. Any questions for Senator Wallace? Johnson. Thank

It fits on large trucks, 18-wheelers, other trucks, in some cases different pieces of farm equipment. It is supposed to be a green energy bill, but it does not work. And the farmers, businesses that have 18-wheelers have massive issues with this piece of equipment.

Transportation, Technology & Legislative Affairs (Senate) — April 7, 2025 (0:20)

Dave Wallace, District 19. I'm running this bill for Gary Stubblefield. It is a good bill. There's a piece of equipment and we call it the DEF.
