own terminal and to a depth of no more than 12 inches. This practice allows installation of customer service to be handled more quickly and efficiently. It's an important note that the 811 organization has reviewed and approved the changes being made. And additionally, the change was shared with several utility companies who have no objections. AT&T is here today to answer any questions concerning what problem this is solving. And we welcome those at this time. Questions from the committee?

They've worked with the largest, I guess, supplier of these in the state to come to agreed-upon language on how to operationally keep this available to the consumer, but mirror protections that we see in other areas. And with that, I welcome any questions. Representative Dalby, you're recognized. Why are we

Insurance & Commerce (House) — March 19, 2025 (1:39:47)

And the Securities Department is proposing amendments to the current Uniform Money Services Act regarding these kiosks and the data security requirements. It's supposed to strengthen these requirements, implement additional disclosure requirements on the operators. So they're not identical in how ATMs operate, but ATMs, as they currently operate, do have certain disclosures, limitations, and licensing requirements that we're trying to mirror for consumers who go into these facilities and then purchase Bitcoin through these terminals.

Insurance & Commerce (House) — March 19, 2025 (1:39:34)

Thank you. You may proceed. Thank you, Committee. This is a bill that's

Insurance & Commerce (House) — March 19, 2025 (1:39:39)

brought to our attention from an emerging market. We've seen the development of what is called Bitcoin kiosks that are available in several convenience stores.

Meeting — March 20, 2025 (2:06:39)

The department has become aware of increased risks in this emerging new business associated with Bitcoin kiosks and proposes language to better protect consumers while allowing the legitimate operators of Bitcoin kiosks to operate. So essentially these operate similar to an ATM, however they don't have the same consumer protections and/or regulations. brings those into compliance with that. With that, I'll take any questions. Seeing none, I appreciate a good vote. Representative Acre

Public Health, Welfare & Labor Committee (House) — March 20, 2025 (1:01:58)

We shouldn't hold a private hospital hostage for a million-dollar loss for another 15 years. while we ignore the real issue, which is Medicaid's underlying reimbursement. And with that, I am closed for my bill, and I appreciate a motion and a good vote. What's the will of the committee? If a motion do pass.
