to apply for a waiver to use tips. give us
Speaker 25
5:08
a brief description of what it's we we would like to do a turf project on our football field. Um, we we have a terrible situation with our drainage. It has collapsed and it's gonna cost us quite a bunch to fix that so we would we've gotten some donations from the
Representative Jeff Wardlaw

5:25
community and we'd like to just go ahead and turf it ok. looks like
I have a question from Mersonwarddlaw you're recognized thank you and you said this is a smackover correct sir can you give me the breakdown on the
funding on the project. I just don't personally like to useation dollars on football fields so I'm curious to hear how many donations and
Speaker 25
5:45
how that's playing out yes sir we we've started a buckaroo foundation to which we've already had a half a million dollars pledge to our to our foundation. and the way we're doing it,
I'm actually leaving here if this goes well to meet with Mr.Ray beardsley. we're going to do 10 years. um, so our payment's gonna be 100,000 a year which the foundation will make a donation every year
Representative Jeff Wardlaw
Unverified
6:06
to make sure that's paid so the the foundation will pay for the turf, not any funds from state or local tax dollars to the turf. currently that's the plan yes
Representative Jeff Wardlaw

6:20
at home I participated I was one of the donors for 10 years and
one of the ways we did it we sold it as you pay $2000 a year you have your name put on the turf, and so on and most of our donors came through on that and the ones that didn't foundation was able to fill the gap
Speaker 25
6:39
so that's the reason I'm asking yes sir I mean the school understands that in the event that we don't have that we have a donor that doesn't come through or that we will have to we will have to spend some of that money which we have we have budgeted for the next 10 years to to account for but like I said, currently we already have half of the the
funding already pledged and we're talking to two large I don't know if they want me to use their name but we're talking to two large plants in Eastcamden right now that are that are possibly going to help
Representative Jeff Wardlaw

Representative Jack Ladyman district32, which is the city of Jonesboro. you're recognized I'm not real familiar with the details of this but I get a bill from these folks every month so I'm fairly familiar with them but no the law that we passed said that all let's see where they had to have a dot dotg go domain is that all utilities is that right let me just put up yeah
municipal government basically government OK so they will do that for their main web page and all the other communications except the billing if you look at the document that they that we have in the folder they have automated billing they have a lot of customers be very expensive to do that so they would like to get a waiver to to for not making their billing.g go.
