you're here to present the peer report. And You're recognized. Thank you, Mr. Chair. The peer review subcommittee met yesterday, April 9th, subcommittee received reports, reviewed requests, and approved the following. an explanation of the report. Do we have any questions? Seeing no questions, we've got a motion to adopt. We've got a second in discussion, seeing none of the favor signified saying aye. All those opposed? Motion carries. Members, do we have any questions on B2 or 3? All right, seeing no questions, those items are reviewed. Have members before we move to Schedule C, I think most people have had a chance to make it in. And, uh, some of you probably know about this, some of you don't, but, uh, Robert Brechs decided to be a short timer. So he's, uh, he's made the decision, I think, to jump across and and try another branch of government, um, but we're excited for you and we appreciate your service. So thank you, sir. And like all good accounts will let you come up and give a speech. All right, members, uh, that's gonna take us to, uh, C1. And we're uh we're gonna pass over that today. All right, C2, uh, Senator Bryant's going to withdraw that amendment. That means House Bill 1163, Department of Labor and Licensing is ready. Do we have any questions on House Bill 1163. So now we've got a motion to do pass. We've got a second in discussion on the motion. Seeing none of the favor signified by saying aye. All those opposed. Motion carries, uh, that takes this uh Senator Hester. You got an amendment for Senate Bill 54. That is going to be on page, page 11 in your packet. I know we're kind of in a bunch of different places. Could you go

have the exact number. It's around $200 million. The balance is sufficient, uh, we've got it at 3% or 2% now that the total reduction is 3%, 1 for, uh, the courts or one for constitutionals and 2% for central services, uh, that's been sufficient so far and the balances are healthy, but I think eventually, you know, you, it's likely that you may have to raise it depending on, on how the revenue. are, but it's 2% of the gross revenues. Yes, sir. Thank you.

and let Senator Tucker explain the amendment. Thank you, Mr. Chair. Ultimately, I'm going to have a motion to suspend the rules to put this on the agenda, what the situation, this is for the uh the public defenders budget. Y'all may remember when we were in here the other day and, uh, we made a verbal amendment to the public defenders budget and things were moving fast and we didn't get it exactly right. So the, the public defender budget was on the Senate floor. We re-referred it back here to get it right. Um, this is to add $1 million. to the public defender's budget, which is the agreement that we reached among legislative leadership, governor's office, public defenders, prosecutors, everyone. So this, this is agreed to by everyone, um, but what, what we have to do is suspend them, suspend the rules to get this on the agenda, adopt the amendment and send it back to the Senate floor. All right, members, uh, we've
