Thank you Mr chairman item C. this is a request that normally goes to the peer review subcommittee but they have been asked for this committee to review this contract request it is a contract request with the FAA management services for four hundred and fifty two thousand dollars for work for software implementation services in the contract to see on page two the term is for three eight twenty one two three seven twenty two that is we've been asked to move that back to three ten twenty one two three nine twenty to move back to day so that it doesn't start before it's reviewed. It won't take very long Sir of this is a contract to implement our time in leave process updating our time in the process and really migrating it out of our our state asus program over to transformation insured services time and leaves an area that we particularly focused on of the last few years for the transformation previously was something that was done very manually the thank you for human beings and writing down a piece of paper we're really trying to migrate that over into more automated process this is part of that the reason will bring it to you all today and asking for a review instead of waiting until the next year meeting is because this is limited to a payroll process and we want to make sure that this contract is up and running in place when we transition from the existing ongoing process to the new ones we need to make sure that hand off goes smoothly. We've been working on this process for a little while I think that there was some late negotiations with the company that resulted in a scope of working being delayed and some of the process that we have to get in place before we can bring it to you all we have to put it into the procurement portal and other things by the time we got to that point we had missed the previous peer meeting and we realize that in order to make at hand often in order to make sure that this contract is is is ready that the vendor that has done what they need to do on the front end so that we can we shift over from the old system and migrate to this new one that everything is ready to go. I don't understand what you mean by it so this state did so this state participates is a member of a a note of buying cooperatives where different states basically negotiate contracts with vendors on behalf of not just themselves but all the states with in the group hi so it allows the states to pull together their buying power and get better deals at the end of the day that's another option that's available to agencies when they're going to the procurement process particularly for vendors that have a very specified a specific expertise which this software program in this process in particular is pretty unique the gives us an opportunity to really get a good deal from an outfit that if we put out an RFP for this for example to a traditional process I'm not sure how many responses we get or how good of a deal we would I told them sent to me by corporate but what I'm trying to figure out even with in the cooperative do you know if this will was this a bid for the cooperative enter or somebody into us source contracting you know that.
