And I really don't see anything wrong with that right there. There's a lot of legislators in this room that has contracts with local government. They have contracts with state government, and there's a lot of people do business like this. So I personally believe that you need to keep your personal facts at home and do that, and I don't think you need to bring them to the well. But that's my feeling, so I'd appreciate you voting against this. Thank you. Representative Lee, you're recognized.
You're recognized. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I'd just like to say, ladies and gentlemen, that this particular bill right here, 1784, prohibit a county election commission from having business dealings or enter into contracts with the board on which he or she serves. And Mr. King, Representative King, did say that this doesn't have anything to do with personal facts. But now this person that he's running this bill on has been doing business with this county for years and years and years.

And I know there's some towns that's been taken out of this, some counties been taken out of this, and some of the problems that they had at the start has been taken care of. But I also know that there's some of us that's still out here that the problem has not been taken care of. And I appreciate against
Ladies and gentlemen of the Chamber, I'd just like to say that I'm against this motion today.
that some people have been taking off this bill and some people have not been taking off this bill. And I know we're running out of time, but ladies and gentlemen, I need you to vote no on this bill today, and I think there's a better way of drawing this up than what
Ladies and gentlemen, it might sound good that we're going to 64 full-time people, but now somebody's going to have to pay those people $130,000 salaries, if I'm not mistaken, what they're going to get paid, plus benefits, plus retirement. And my county does not want us to go and get combined with another county and have a judge somewhere else. We want our own judge in our county just like we've got it now. Now, I know they've worked hard on this bill, but I think there's a whole lot of us in here
you, Mr. Chairman. Normally, I wouldn't come down here and speak against Representative Powers, but on this certain situation, I've got a problem. The people back in my county, ladies and gentlemen, there's an ad in the newspaper this week and it showed an empty courthouse right there. and they've had the television stations there. I've had more slack over this bill right here than I've had in anything in five years that I've been down here.

Thank you. Senate Bill 311, an act to authorize a statewide parcel mapping grant program and declare an emergency. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a bill that will make the county assessor's office better throughout the whole state. As far as I know, there's no objections on this bill. the governor's office would like to see this throughout the whole state. It will make it a better place for the state of Arkansas to get this bill passed. Appreciate a good vote. Thank you. We've

Mr. Chairman. Mr. Speaker, excuse me. House Bill 1795 to regulate exemptions of the real estate licensing law. Ladies and gentlemen, basically what this does, this tells who has to have a real estate license and who does not have to have a real estate license. Appreciate a good vote. Mr.
I had a town in one of my areas that dropped below 2,000 people since the census just came out. And if they drop below 2,000, they're not eligible to be on this board. And they have been on this board for several years, so we had a little change in this. where it says any city that holds a position on any regional solid waste management board on or before January 1, 2010, can stay on the board. So I sure would appreciate a good vote on this. Thank you.

Representative Hudson, I'd just like to say that in the past that part of the funds do come from the Senate side and part of the funds do come from the House side. It's been that way ever since we've been here. So that's the way it's always been. i'll answer any questions
