Madam Chair. Representative D.M. Vaught, District 87. So whenever this got down to the Senate, the state police wanted to make just a few adjustments to the bill. Instead of it being like an alert, it becomes an advisory committee, which also does go out to people. It just won't put people maybe into a panic about something, about somebody missing. And that's really what the amendment does. I didn't see any issue with that. It won't be called the purple alert like we were kind of wanting it to be. it will just be an endangered adult advisory system that they use.

With that, I'll take questions. Any questions by committee? Seeing none, we have no one here to speak for or against the amendment. Anyone like to speak for or against the amendment in the audience? Seeing none, would you like to close for your amendment? I'm closed and I appreciate a good vote. What's the will of the committee? Okay, I have a motion to concur in Senate Amendment No. 1 to House Bill 1523. All in favor say aye. Opposed, no. Congratulations. Thank you, ma'am. You passed your amendment. Thank you, committee. Okay, we are now on to House Bill 1717, which has three amendments. So if you'll introduce yourself, Representative Gramlich, you are recognized to present Amendment

Bill 1717. Similar, but it's a little bit more substantive. They wanted to kind of make a little bit clearer what consent means, what a disclosure was, and a couple of other, it looks like a lot of definitionally changing things, but it added something, so everything shifted. Clarification on a third party and processor. Just more clarification and more specific stuff. Let's see here. And then also like when processing information,

when that's acceptable to collect information, when not to collect information.

House Bill 1717. Thank you very much, committee. Similarly, a little bit of clarification. They wanted to talk about how audio files will be used and then how they will be deleted when no longer reasonably necessary, and then clarification on how prohibiting an operator from keeping some information or preventing an operator from prohibiting. So, like, you can keep information to protect kids in these particular circumstances
