Duration approved the october twenty seven twenty twenty three in november twenty twenty twenty three meeting minutes minutes have emotioned to approve you have a second all those in favor say are in your post so now okay motion carried next year's the department of human services division children family services miss tiffany right and I know that you've got to leave correct and have another meeting so okay we'll we'll be quick I think so okay just make it everybody can hear me okay so i'm in a start with the instead of the quarterly report i'm going to go first with the document titled overturned investigations report I presented and last month on this report but this is the most updated one the dates for this january first two thousand twenty two three december thirty first two thousand and twenty two and again I can walk you through uhm but if you just pick one county i'm going to go down the columbia county in area for it shows the number of hotline calls receive the number accepted I am for investigation the number of true reports and then the percentage found true and then if you continue to follow through it will show you the number of investigations that were appealed in overturned on the people and comparing this to what I presented last month this is pretty has stayed pretty consistent okay. Okay thank you do any members have any questions can you see a nan would move the next okay and then I am going to move to the quarterly report and this is for a state fiscal year twenty four july first two thousand and twenty three to september thirtieth two thousand twenty three and just as a reminder if you're wondering which counties when I talk about areas of the state if we talk about areas that is on the front of the book just as a reminder I am going to page one. I am in this quarter there are total of seven thousand three hundred and eighty treatment reports called in during the quarter of those five thousand and eight hundred and seventy five were signed to dc affairs that's approximately eighty percent. Going on to page four erm on the top of page four and that chart you will see the timely initiation chart for this quarter on the far right consistent for the this first quarter again would like to see an increase in those but I just wanted to point out that on the bottom of page four timely completion as you can see we did increase this quarter by ten percent in timely completion of children our treatment assessments and those are broken down both of those charts by a priority wine priority to and then a combined total. Moving on to page seven you can see that there were we had at the end of the quarter in home and support of services cases opened that involved four thousand two hundred and ninety six children in youth across our state and moving on to page ten at the end of the quarter there were three thousand eight hundred and seventy four children in youth and foster care and as a bottom chart on page ten you can see that we continue to work on permanency and discharging children and you to permanency we had an exit of five hundred and ninety nine children from faster care at the top of page eleven there's the reasons for entry and neglect in substance abuse continuing to be the most common reason that is similar to the previous quarter. And at the bottom is there reasons for discharge from foster care so again forty one percent of our children in youth I reunifying followed by thirty two percent with a gold adoption. I am moving to page fifteen I just wanted to point out that achieving permanency within twelve months dcfs is above the national standard we there's quarter we increased or forty seven percent in page sixteen um children available for adoption is we have three hundred and twenty eight but if you do the twenty percent that are in pre adopted placement already that's approximately now we are at two hundred and sixty three children available for adoption which is a decrease from when I reported last time and then we also have decreased the length of time to adoption to nine point eight dropping below the national standards which is also another strings that I got okay thank you think we have a question here senator solon you have a question you recognize thank you move to chair so on on page ten I guess it is we have really reunification and how many how often are children place back with the parents and then never removed again is there a category for the there is. If you got a page fifteen the bottom chart re entries into foster fear is three point four percent for this quarter three percent that offending is pretty good how would that is pretty good and the national saying that it is eight point three percent yeah that sounds more normal but you know at one point the timeline phone for care for the initiative I think it's on page three or four uh the timeline would reset if certain conditions weren't met so if you had if you made a certain case against parents that they were happy but maybe neglect and they had to submit information about neglect and you have a timeline that you meet are there circumstance with that timeline resets so the fifth number doesn't necessarily reflect the overall timeline so you yeah there's a case made that parent was neglectful other children because of ab and you find out that there's more information that comes to light to that reset the timeline. Are you talking I just want to clarify you talking about in a foster care case or are you talking about yellow say a foster care so much argos and foster care based on the collect and and the investigation covers three or four points and in case in the case we're more information is found that that reserves a time or that is that if this chart reflect above any resets I would say this chart is not reflective of any research it's twelve it's the twelve months from discharge of the first quarter when we're working with families we we do like expect there to be additional hook ups along the way or think other services are supports that they might need need and so we were just continue to work with them in the time one that we were you know that is set for it just fully understand so once there's a report made regardless of what other circumstance turn up this chart represents the case from beginning to end the chart on page fifteen yeah okay right thank you mister chair could you other members have any questions i'm going with no further questions represented you reckon ask for a question thank you mister chair could you just give us a brief update on the recent project zero either and how many enquiries you god in and how many are in the uh process now successful at option it just looked from what I was seeing as if that were the most successfully that that they had ever had yeah so last saturday it's actually two saturdays ago now on the first saturday in december we add cannon christmas with project zero which is a match in event where we brought two hundred and thirty two of our waiting children to uh from across the state to little rock and then invited all of our waiting families I can not remember off the top of my head the number of inquiries that came through. But we did have a successful event with inquiries and so we are diligently working through those in determining matches for children with families. That's exciting thank you do any other members have any questions ok no further questions so thank you very much so and is always emails if members have questions they can email you correct yes of course okay thank you very much thank you very christmas yeah. Okay next on the agenda is major jeff true with the review for the arkansas state police major during your recognized all right major jeffrey arizona state please crimes against children children i'm sorry we'll be doing the july through september report if you'll look at page two uh the heartline received fifteen thousand nine hundred and twelve calls eight thousand sixty three of those calls were accepted CC handle one thousand four hundred and eighty two of those accepted cause deceives handled five thousand one hundred and thirty one while one thousand four hundred and fifty were differential responses to look at ps three that will reflect a florida one allegation and types of escape about CC d in a monthly breakdown. Eh peace will reflect the reports that we have because received from mandate reporters. The. And on page five you'll see there is a month we break down of the case is open cases closed there within a three months one thousand four hundred and seventy cases were open with one thousand three hundred ninety one closed out of that four hundred and sixty three or those were found true which gave us a substantiation rate of thirty three percent. Their present two thousand four and fifty five cases that are still active at two hundred and three uh being over forty five days. Pay six and seven will show you the county breakdown. Pages nine through ten or reflect the report of the allegation tapes along with the ages of the victims pages eleven through twenty two we should relationship between the fender and the victim with age groups of the offenders the pages twenty four through thirty one. Uh we should break down prosecution attorneys their districts in the cases that were submitted and all page thirty one we show that we submit it six hundred and twenty seven cases with three hundred twenty five being filed it was fifty two percent of those are cases pending a two hundred and twenty three. Where it's the thirty five percent and we had seventy nine of the six twenty seven that would decline had not with the can affairs with any questions of anything members do we have any questions okay senator clark your recognized for a question. Just made these numbers on the hotline calls with these upper down compared to last year and so can you tell me about by how much right now is blast here we had had received a total of a sixty three thousand six hundred and twenty one calls right now in of november we're saying it's sixty two eight ninety three so we haven't had any money lower than four thousand so we will be more than than what we had last year so it looks like we'll be up that about ten percent little more. Yes sir alright thank you represent barrier recognized for a question thank you chairman i'm just looking at page for all mandated reports. Uh. What is way down at the bottom of eleven hundred and fourteen it's just as teacher what does that mean those are the cause it came in from teachers one thousand one hundred and fourteen calls came in from them. Whether it is just a breakdown of the mandated reporters the big three do we normally get most of our voice from a long forcement medical and schools there okay precious clergy. Fifty one I mean what.
