Meeting — March 31, 2025 (3:44:34)

So what this motion would take away the opportunities and the efforts that were made to find a compromise that we could all live with. That's what happened in the committee. Now, if you still disagree and you want to vote for one or the other, fine, go ahead. But what happened in committee is the bill failed. And then a compromise attempt was made multiple times and they were unable to come up with a compromise. The committee today passed a bill out of committee that will come before the floor tomorrow.

Meeting — March 31, 2025 (3:44:12)

the reminder. So I was in the committee, and I think I voted for the bill. However, it did not pass. And what came out of the negotiations on that and the attempt to compromise, and folks, I understand compromise. I have worked hard to compromise on several bills. It's tough. But what came out was what passed in committee today.
