What this bill does, then, is simply to say that there shall not be a filing fee as a county court case for that appeal from the Equalization Board to the county court. We also have put it in two different places in the law regarding filing fees and miscellaneous fees that are charged for other types of cases appearing in county court. Members, what this bill does, we may all be familiar with the process that beginning in August 1 of every year, persons who are aggrieved by the assessor's assessment on their property may appear before the Equalization Board. When the Equalization Board then makes the decision, that property owner has the right to appeal their decision to the county court.
