Let's pray. Father God, we are reminded today of the words of the psalmist Moses as he declared that from everlasting to everlasting thou art God, and how that you, God, have been our dwelling place in all of our generations. We remember how that Paul declared the same truth for us in Mars Hill in Athens so long ago as he said that in you God we live and move and have our being in you God we live and I know
in this legislative body we stand and we all have on our minds today our homes our dwelling places as they finish this session and they turn their hearts their minds toward their home God we're so thankful that we not only have a place where we live, but that we have a home that is from everlasting to everlasting, and we have that assurance that we are with you. We thank you, God, also that we can call upon you.
We thank you for the privilege of prayer, and we thank you for the privilege of intercession. And I thank you, God, for the privilege that I've had of interceding for this legislative of body over these last few months thank you for watching over them protecting them giving them safety in their travels and we pray you'd continue to watch over them in the days and months ahead and their families and we ask this in jesus name amen

Morning colleagues. As we start the process of bringing this session to a close, I'd like for us to just kind of take a couple of moments and reflect back on the work that we have done together. But more importantly, the impact that our work together will have on all of Arkansas. Members, your constituents should be proud of the work that you have done on their behalf this session. Over these past months, we've rolled up our sleeves, we've met the
moment, and we've done it with dedication and purpose. We worked late into the night, we debated, we disagreed, we discussed. Most importantly, we collaborated. We thoroughly vetted legislation, we brought diverse perspectives to the table, and we made good bills through that debate even better. This General Assembly can stand tall knowing that the laws that we pass this session will shape the future of our state for many generations to come.
Together we took bold action to improve maternal health across Arkansas. You should be applauded for that. We ensured that every public school student can begin their day with a free breakfast because no child should be too hungry to learn. We reformed higher education. We did it in a system to make it more responsive, more effective, and more accessible for all Arkansans. We passed legislation to protect our children from the dangers of social media, recognizing
that their well-being must always come first. We also strengthened our commitment to those who serve this country by establishing a new committee focused on veterans and military affairs of which many of you were on the groundwork of that and we did good work for those veterans in our military we gave them the honor and the respect that they deserve it's no secret look across this chamber that we didn't always see eye to eye there were passionate debates
there were some tense moments in this chamber and in the committee rooms of this building but members that's the nature of democracy and through it all we never lost sight of who we are and who we were sent here to serve and in the end I believe that we came together and did what was expected of us to do what Arkansans sent us here to do as we adjourn today I want to thank each of
you for your service for your sacrifice and your steadfast commitment to our state it has been an honor to serve alongside of you in this 95th general assembly in this chamber and my prayer for each of you is that you leave when you leave this place take pride in the work that you have done I pray that you leave here with a sense of success as you have labored for your districts that you leave here today with a new respect for one another
and I pray that you leave here with a shared belief in the promise of tomorrow for all Arkansans May God bless each and every one of you in this interim, it's been my honor.
