Sure she's a quorum. Ali. Legislative Council executive committee in two. Session we do have some members are still in committee but I have a conversation with them and they're aware that we're going to meet like to recognize missed your fire there and then if you will let. Who's assisting recognized. Thank you Mr chair Jill there be of Thank you. So I'm just going to briefly go over with you by the materials that you're provided last Thursday and in order to help you with making your decision today M. as you all know this subcommittee authorized me to release an RFP for employee health benefit consulting services on March fifteenth we put that out and we received six proposals in response to that or if he on April twelfth and it last Thursday I gave you all as set and those are of those proposals along with several summary tables that I've done for you and Lori Ballen checked all the references for the sixth Anders and you also have a summary of those in your packet and your task today really is to pick two to three year for however many want to of those vendors to come back to you at a meeting to be held in may and to give you oral presentations on their plan for helping the subcommittee. I'm and then also to set out and the length of time that you want them to present to you at that next meeting is when you'll select someone to contract with and then the contract will go in front of the policy making subcommittee of Legislative Council on may nineteenth and then final approval of council on may twenty first and. We will release all the proposal materials today immediately following this meeting so if you're getting any questions from anybody that'll be on the website after this meeting am I think right now just in the interest of time we'll take any questions that you have Laurie can answer questions about the references. All right members questions for restore your or Mr bode Senator Irvin you're recognized. I just I make a motion that we need to may twelfth at one thirty to hear from those that need to be presenting to us. It's on what day. May twelfth in the women's Day Wednesday yes Wednesday. At what time one thirty. will give us time okay. All right any other discussion. Regent ward all you're recognized and I I may have been asleep but do we limit that to to to the top two of this of the selections miss Senator Irvin. Yes Sir thank you. Okay it is a discussion on the motion. If not all in favor aye aye opposed. Motion carries. Surely Pritchett you being here again today if you will come forward. You will and will. The Committee to. Check what input you might have for. Thank you like state with a question thank you chair I appreciate the opportunity to be here glad to answer any questions that you may have about the of the R. three response. Okay Committee news you know Mr Leah we. receive him looking over these the. We can because of his background in we open for any questions. Representative Dawson you're recognized thank you Mr chair just as we're looking at these in front of us and I'm assuming you've reviewed all of them and do you have any particular insights that you would say we need to definitely hear from this one. Over another one before we decide which ones are gonna hear from. Yes Sir I did review each of the six proposals I focused primarily on section three which was the scope of work it was the part that the bureau asked me to help craft these were designed to be leading questions where the consultant would look at specific areas for strategic planning the top to that I had selected during my review were. At one thirty right Siegel and Chiron they seem to demonstrate the highest level of understanding of the questions and and how to put a project plan together I did not review references pricing anything of that nature was purely a technical review of section three thank you. Senator Rapert you're recognized so the two that you referenced Segal and higher and are they those the two that made the complete our of peas or your recommendations. At the other ones that completed the RFP yes that is to the six everything that I looked at the R. F. P. was complete for those two and the other for the other four demonstrated a very good experience in certain aspects of the of their proposal brokerage consulting benefit consulting but seagoing Chiron but the best total package forward and so your recommendation to us today is to pursue you or hear from those two that correct correct okay. Mister chair the much at the proper time I'll make a motion that we accept that and. Jason's recommendation and hear from civil and Chiron okay if you hold it we'll see if we have any more questions the Committee. Okay no more questions up would restate your motion if you will. I missed your last name I'm sorry. Check what nine. I'm sorry your last name Lee late okay thank. I move that we accept the recommendation by Mr days lead to hear from the Siegel group and the Chiron group at the presentations that we have set for may the twelfth. Okay committees The any discussion on the motion. The Senator representing Wardlaw. Thank you Mr chair from speaking with staff looks like what we would do without objection from the Committee and I do Is culture would like to hear your concerns but possibly given thirty minutes apiece to present present their case ask questions and then schedule them roughly an hour apart. Is there anyone that has any thing to add to that are we good with that. Are we expecting in person proposals or hi I ask for and and I guess that's permission to mention that when I was asking for input from the committee but I did mention that to star just now that I would personally feel better if they were in person not on the okay the would be helpful. Okay any other discussion. If not the. We have a motion for a tire on it C. H. E. I. R. O. in a in cooperated and a single to present the Committee on. May. Twelve. Wednesday at one thirty. All in favor I. Opposed. that is carried and we will expect those mystery in we thank you for your assistance and I noticed many was bound to you tell me your recommendations the thing we looked over but we we did value your input and thank you again for the thank you Sir. Representative Dotson you're recognized thank you Mr chair I have a motion The motion. I have a motion to Back a to take down the plexiglass. And and also temperature checkers in. Mac building as well as the capital to in those after close of business on Wednesday. So it would be to remove the plexiglass mac a I guess starting today and in all of all the tips tricks do you talk about machines. The discussion amended and any other. At that's. Okay if if if if we can't us have some discussion of. On that committee. We don't have a I was not aware until today that what was in the state capital the people that were mailing the temperature checks were not secretary state. they that was Bilour so it I take it that your motion in the capital. And and here now here we don't have anybody other than our security. Manning that. the machines are in the security field Redressed the machines are already bought and paid for is that correct. That's correct senator since their bought and paid for their not having to be may and. You can do away with the armband Jean do away with the machine if you want to I thought that I had was leave the. Leave the machine for a while the people on a sale. Temperature check. it is again is this thing is winding down you know you don't want to be on get rid of all of that that's fine but that's just for discussion. A representative Wardlaw. So I think. I think what I would do is asked represent Dotson to amend his motion to on may and the machines so that we have the machines for self awareness and hopefully people would use that self awareness and that take that responsibility among themselves to take their temperature but it's my understanding there's a significant cost at the capital with the people at every door and the ambulance services so I would agree to removing that proportion so maybe having specifying his motion to just remove the cost section of it and leave the machines for self awareness. It is a discussion. Representative Dotson would you like to restate your. Yeah. I am in my motion to Okay we're just gonna take away to to remove the close of business on Wednesday to take the people that are manning the stations but leave the machines in place. And and take down the plexiglass in mac a. Okay and that's close of business on Tuesday is what you said at the close of business on Wednesday for the manning of the station with the okay but the plexiglass take that down as soon as possible okay RT of the discussion on the motion. If not to all in favor aye. Posed. Okay members that hi this is. And the six will get in the business. Okay percent everybody being here and we will meet again may. Twelve Wednesday and one thirty you put it on the counter we are dismissed.
