If you'd like to speak for against the bill and ask you to sign up it's out here on the rail. it this time we have a sentence of. Concurrent. Concurring on a Senate amendment today representative Cavenaugh would you please come to the table and president House. Justice of the record proceed Afrin Cavenaugh State writ District thirty almost said sixty X. also used the same sixty this is just an amendment that the Senate put on. At all I really need site but this amendment is just simple it just requires that the. The valuation for the lowest lifecycle documentation be maintained and cared for review and audit and that's really all it does. I make a motion to concur. Or. I make a motion now Mister chair for car on Senate Amendment on H. B. thirteen nineteen. Thank you Mr chairman state representative Marshall's District twenty eight like them but Craighead county judge Marvin day has witness your commission. Famous last words this is a really really simple bill always seeks to do is add three services to the professional services procurement code. UP currently counties do a little bit do not do a little bit proud of. Do not do a little bit procurement for legal services financial advisory engineering construction management or land surveying. If a county bids for ambulance service medical such as that. It's a simple little bit process all this bill seeks to do. Is take those services out of a a little bit process and add them. To this professional services procurement code how that would work is the county would advertise it they would up follow the RFQ model which means they would advertise and get proposed a proposal from these professionals. And that in the county would analyze that and go from there. With that I would. Okay Represented by Holcomb you're recognized thank you Mr judge day would you just tell us in layman's terms what's going on what why we need this bill gotta give us a rundown what's happening. If that's our Mr bush that one right there okay yes Sir thank you Mister chairman thank you represent vocal you know what we're trying to do in in this change so there's just like representive so Skjold said we we presently you know advertise and find the most qualified architect or engineer to help us the issue were sent out and I'll be honest I'm very lucky for myself in cricket county but a lot of the other counties are having some issues finding good qualified people to be the doctor or medical company in the jail. And so there won't have you know the best find the best qualified person for that care of so that you end up in fewer lawsuits better quality that sort the same way with the ambulance service you know we we don't we don't want the cheapest ambulance going to pick you up you know when you when you're needed we will find the most qualified so that we're not getting just a cheap. Like clothes make a motion to pass.
