I think I was I wasn't sure whether they're referring to you or me. OK, thank you, Mr. Speaker. Members of the House of Representatives, this is an amendment to Senate Bill 972 that corrects the inadvertently left off of when we when we drafted the bill to establish congressional districts. We left two wards out, and we're putting them in in their proper order. I appreciate a good vote. All right,

against the amendment? Representative Hammer, do you recognize to come and speak against the amendment?

Representative Kim Hammer Unverified 1:56
Thank you, Mr. Speaker. In a minute, I'm going to push my no button. I want to tell you why, so you know why I push no. I hear people saying I'm one of them. I'd like to go home, and so would you. But I know people on the other side of the world. I hear people come down. I've come down myself and spoken this podium. I spoke motivated by emotions. I spoke motivated by facts. I've heard you do the same thing. We've spoke by personal stories, by personal experiences. I know that if this amendment is voted down, the possibility of a worse map is coming back. But I also know the possibility of a better map could come back, too, if we'll do the right thing. There are people on the other side of the world that are doing what we are not doing. We're here for a job. We're here for a duty. And when I was elected, I was elected with the understanding I'd come down here and do what's right.

Speaker 25 3:28
here for both the amendment and the bill, but they're different paired votes. They have to be individual. So I have a stack of paired votes for the amendment, and I have a stack of paired votes for the bill. One doesn't count on the other. So they're separate pairs. I know I'm now a pair. Yes,

Representative Tracy Pennartz Unverified 3:43

Anyone else we can speak for the bill, against the bill? All right. Question for the House. Adoption of Amendment No. 1 to Senate Bill 972, Paramachines. Whoops. I'm sorry. Hold on. Back up. I'm sorry. Are we ready to go again, Mr. Clerk? Okay, before you prepare the machine, we'll do the pairs. Mr. Parliamentarian, you are recognized to enumerate the pairs.
