Members, if you will, please take your position at your desk. I'd like to ask that each of you stand with me and the members in the gallery who are visiting with us today, and press and others, as we're going to be led in prayer today at noon's meeting by Representative Kim Hammer. and then I'll ask you to remain standing as we're led in the Pledge of Allegiance by Representative Billy Gaskell. Representative Hammer. I've been asked that we begin today with

a moment of silence, not only in memory of those who have lost their lives in our great state, but also the families whose lives have been turned upside down by the storms. And praise God, we live in Arkansas where the spirit of unity prevails in times of disaster. Let's have a moment of silence, if you would, followed by a word of prayer, please. Almighty God, the God in whom we trust, we lift before you those who have been impacted by the storms, who have experienced loss of life of their family members, devastation to their personal property, and their lives just basically turned upside down. And yet you are the God of the night. You are the God of the day. You are the God who heals. You are the God who loves. You are the God who embraces. You are a God who knows what it's like to lose a family member to death as you watched as your only begotten son died on the cross of Calvary to pay our sin debt. And we thank you, Lord, for being God. We thank you for being a powerful God, a God who sees all of our needs even before they take place in our life, a God who knows that we are going to be born before we're even conceived, and a God who knows our appointed time, and a God in whom we stand in judgment before and after. We ask, Father, that you would heal our state from the wounds that have been created from the natural disasters we ask Father that you would heal the families and we only ask God as in all of our actions and all things inside of our control and outside of our control that all things be used to good to those who know the Lord we thank you Lord for our session we thank you Lord for our leadership we thank you Lord for our differences we thank you Lord for the privilege to stand and to debate and to share, to argue, and to present facts, to present emotions, and all the things that you created us with. And we thank you that we live in America where we have that privilege and that we're blessed to live in the greatest state in the Union. And we just pray now, Father, that you'd bless all decisions and that you'd just use them all for your honor, for your glory, and praise. And we're going to ask all these things in the name of Jesus, our Savior, and all God's people said, Amen.

Members, the chair recognizes a quorum before we take up our one item of business. I want to say thank you to Representative Hammer for helping us on our last day to be in touch with our spirituality, our individual spirituality. And I want to say a special thanks to our friend Representative Billy Gaskell for eloquently keeping us in touch with the patriotism that abides in each one of us during the session. So thank you, Representative Gassman. Mr. Clark, read the letter from the Governor,

and gentlemen of the House, I wanted to remind you again to please leave your keys in the voting machines and to take any personal belongings from the top of your desk, computers, computer bags, et cetera. After you leave here, we'll be preparing for girls' state and boys' state. We need to get the chamber in order for them in June. So thank you very much. We will remove everything from the desk that you don't take with you today. So please take your

personal items with you. Thank you. What purpose are you up here for, Mr. Pierce? I don't know whether we're going to recognize you or not here. Representative Pierce, this could be for an acceptable purpose here. I'll see what you've got in your hand, so I'm

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Members of the House, I have a citation here, and the citation is entitled, Cartographer Emeritus Clark Hall. Whereas, would Representative Hall join me at the well, please? Mr. Speaker, I'm sorry. You're recognized, Representative Hall. Well, we're glad you got your suspenders on them. Whereas, due to the sheer physical difficulties of redistricting, skilled mapmakers are often difficult to find. Enter Representative Clark Hall, the 88th General Assembly cartographer emeritus, inspired by the necessary grit and determination needed to accomplish the task. And whereas, as he lays aside his career in mapmaking, Representative Clark Hall, whose skill as a top-notch, top-notch cartographer, is greatly appreciated, has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues in the 88th General Assembly, And whereas the House of Representatives of the 88th General Assembly of the state of Arkansas takes great pride in recognizing Representative Clark Hall for his shepherding, shepherding, this great feat to fruition, redistricting. Now, therefore, pursuant to the motion of the Speaker of the House, Robert S. Moore, Jr., the Arkansas House of Representatives, directs that this citation be presented on this

The Fed Bill finger could take on different connotations today, so I don't think we'll go there. All right, we have one other announcement regarding immediately upon adjournment that we will, or immediately upon signing die, that we will meet for the opening of the bronze door, brass door, bronze doors. I forgot which one they are. Anyway, the big door is down there, and we're going to have our picture taken, so we can all head out of here right after that. Okay, I don't see any other announcements. I just want to say thank you again to each one of you. This has been the highest honor of my life to serve over this portion of the 88th General Assembly. I look forward to continuing working with you in the months ahead, and I'm available for you as you need me. Being nothing further, let's see, Mr. Parliamentarian, do we have any drum roll or anything here? This is it, huh? Okay. In accordance with the provision of House Concurrent Resolution 1006, the House of Representatives
