let's pray heavenly father we remember from the Beatitudes that Jesus taught us. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called
the children of God. As we survey our world today you might think Lord that you'd said blessed be the peace breakers instead of peacemakers so in short supply they are. So today I want to pray over this body the words that you gave us in Psalm 34 where you told us to flee from evil and to follow after what is good to seek peace and pursue it
here in this body most all of these people are believers and our first allegiance therefore God is to you and I pray that this legislative body might be a place where they seek peace and we pray it in Jesus name Amen I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which we stand, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

First, we have Dr. Prasad Padala, a doctor of psychiatry here in Little Rock. He is guest of Representative Ashley Hudson. Please give him an applause and welcome to the house. Someone that I'm very proud to see here today. I'm so grateful for the service that he provides our state. Please make welcome our second doctor of the day,
orthopedic surgeon from here in Little Rock, guest of Representative Andrew Collins, Dr. Lowry Barnes from UAMS. Standing
in between them, with her big smile on today, we're proud to have our nurse, Ms. Lee Fazio,
is here. Members up above me in the North Gallery, we have special guests here today, guest of Representative Vaught. We have Miss Adelaide Weeks with us. Miss Adelaide, would you please
wave to everyone and everyone give her a welcome. Adelaide is here welcoming, accompanied here with her mother today. Over in the West Gallery to my right, your left, we have students with the East Initiative here for STEM Day at the Capitol. They are guests of Representative Shad Pierce. Students, would you please stand? Members welcome them to your state capitol. Thank you students for being here. Also we have a very large group over here in
the East Gallery here today. These are line workers representing Energy Arkansas, the electric cooperatives of Arkansas, SWEPCO, Oklahoma Energy and Gas and Liberty Utilities, and members, if you'll give me just a little bit of leniency and give me just a moment. I just want to share some words about this group. Gentlemen, if y'all, ladies,

would you all please stand? In Arkansas, there are over 2,100 line workers that show up every day and

keep your lights on. These dedicated men and women are familiar with technical terms
such as goat head, pork chop, and booger wire. Now, what unites them and makes them special is their unwavering commitment and their tireless dedication to providing outstanding service to the electric customers throughout Arkansas. Their dedication drives them to heights of 40, 60 and sometimes as much as 120 feet in the face of challenging conditions such as rain, sleet, bitter cold and extreme heat while being burdened with over 40 pounds of gear. They tirelessly repair
and restore systems, transmitting voltage ranging from 13,800 volts to 765,000 votes, sometimes dedicating up to 16 hours a day to take care of us. They work hard every day, and they make sure that when we flip that switch on that the lights come on. This is simply amazing, and on behalf of my colleagues in the Arkansas House of Representatives and members, I would ask you to please thank you, gentlemen and ladies, for your work, for
your stepping out in harm's way and for the service that you provide each of us
and all three million Arkansans across our great state. Your determination and your grit does not go taken for granted.
