This rule is to allow protections to those who are receiving medicaid services through the workers with disabilities category. In that while they're working they can establish a an independence account and put retirement assets and income in that account and then later when they retire if they need other categories of service in our long term service and supports programs. That independence account and those assets will continue to be disregarded in determining eligibility for future categories that these individuals may need to receive. Rule number twenty four this rule is being amended due to act three or three of two thousand twenty three it regards a physician assistance the original rule were the public comment period ended on december fourth two thousand and twenty three we received one public comment from the arch and some medical society the board did review that comment its specifically stated at wanted to add the language if authorized by the super supervising physician the board did approve their suggestion made by that comment during the second public comment period that ended on january fourteenth we received one public comment that was a letter of support from the arkansas academy of physician assistance okay. This is roll number three this is licensure for foreign international medical graduates this is due to legislation it was at two sixty seven of two thousand nineteen it just updates the requirements for those international medical graduates that they can receive an active license in arkansas.
