Okay we're gonna call the personnel subcommittee back into order. Miss Clark we proceed with the department transportation. You Mr chairman. The next item on the agenda is B. twenty one on page one forty four they currently have four thousand seven hundred twelve authorized positions the agency is requesting to arrange their positions in polls to create A Clearwater series for promotions and this is helping the agency
reduce their number of positions the first document you're viewing is a summary of the agency's changes but if you flip to the next page page one forty five a there is a sample of what the agency's proposed appropriation bill would resemble with these changes if you go down the salary salary level twenty on that first page you'll see the administrative officer pool which I will use as an example this poor would allow the agency to start employees at an administrative officer one grade twelve and over time they could potentially be promoted
within their same position to agree twenty by allowing this the agency would not have to create a new position or request a great increase every time employee became eligible for promotion. Overall there forty three poles in the agency's proposal and this helps them obtain a net decrease of thirty eight positions. I should also mention that in the creation of these polls some new titles were created and there were some re classifications along with upgrades as it relates to the creation of tools these changes
occur to help streamline the agency's arrangement of the pools and position appropriation. In addition the agency is requesting to increase all the line item maximums for graded positions by two percent those totals can be seen bolded at each salary level on the draft appropriation for example the maximum for salary level twenty can be seen folded on page one forty five Furthermore the agency is requesting to agree increase the line item maximums of its on classified positions
to create at least a ten percent difference between the different administrative levels the new line item maximums can be seen at the top of page one forty five the request for the director is a to percent line item Max increase and the other is very up to twenty one percent you these can be seen on line up on items one through sixteen. The net effect of the changes will result in a net decrease of thirty eight positions taking the agency from four thousand seven hundred and twelve to four thousand six hundred and seventy
four positions this concludes my presentation. Any questions from the members. Can I get a motion to adopt this executive Rick. Motion and a second all those in favor say aye. Opposed no. Motion carries this is adopted.
