Yes Sir thank you Mr chairman we're on item V.. An item be there is a letter vice chairmanship in the Cheshire of State. All appropriation authority up to which makes it up to nine hundred and fifty million cities in eight hundred fifty million two counties this is pass through money that just goes to the state sales tax collections that go back to the cities and counties so the if you guys approve it this committee approves this request we will have authority to draft the supplemental which will then be referred to this committee Mr would you want to stop here to take action on one of the time yes Sir will take action wanted time any questions on the supplemental. Appropriation give money back to the sales tax that we collect for the city's and county's any questions. Read a motion to approve the letter we have a motion and a second any discussion all in favor say aye any opposed letters adopted Mr Anderson B. yes Sir thank you Mister chairman probably the easiest way to see this is on page five this is also part of their request this is to amend house bill ten thirty three officer treasure refund of local taxes as you can see it amends from eight hundred and seventy million to one billion eight hundred million two nine hundred million the same as was previously discussed if the committee does adopt this this and this will be amendment adopted and it will be go up to the chamber to be voted on to be engrossed into the bill. For further explanation of this letter any any questions any concerns. We made a motion to adopt the amendment we have a motion and a second any discussion all in favor say aye any opposed. All right we're going to the you got a one page summary of the House bills and Senate bills these are there the rule of re appropriations mismanagement if you want to go over the House bills will start with those. Yes Sir Mr chairman this was a handout since there are these are all reappropriation bills. The appropriation bills provide. Spending authority for the agencies that have existing funds it does not give any new money it does not add any additional appropriations authority allows an agency that had existing funds an appropriation of forty for the current year and didn't finish a project to have that same authority for the next year all the House bills are listed first it's house bill ten eighty one to ten ninety four in the Senate bills on the bottom half of the page the bill sixty nine Senate bill eighty four. All right members you for an explanation to anybody have a question or concern. I want you to look at these bills since their all right representative Springer. You're recognized good morning thank you Mr so are these the bill so we went over yesterday that are combined here on this list no no these are new the yeah these are reappropriation these are of top of projects that are going on in these departments they could be building capital improvement but but they have not been completed. The the amount does not change on we're just asking the authority when July first gets here that they can extend a moan for the next year that's what a reappropriation does well I have a question for the Education Department elementary and secondary education can I is anybody here with education K. through twelve. You see what if a great he might be able to answer it. Mister Rogers if you identify yourself and after Mr Springer question Greg Rogers taught education good morning. K. can you tell me specifically what what what what the the the appropriation is for the. The amount that's being REAPPROPRIATE what what number you on for that the Senate bill seventy one I apologize okay you're down the Senate bill Senate bill seventy. Senate bill seventy what. Seventy one seventy one give me give me just a minute. You. Okay so one day Those are not the Capitol Complex reappropriation that we have those are appropriations that we had to do the capital improvements for our building the department education owns the capitol complex which are number four and number three capitol mall and so these appropriations or what we used to to do improvements for those buildings. I recall us talking about that last year so I guess the question I have both of those amounts I'm not changing can you give us a status report as to what was taking place with respect to prior year this year. I'm sorry I'm sorry. The what has taken place with respect to the money that's been appropriated any use of that those funds what's that what's the status of that at this point. So the the funds come from the rent that we collect from my in our building and then what we've done this fall this year what number three is we've renovated number three couple mall where where a career and technical education is because the the building had a need for new H. back system needed new carpeting new thing instead of doing in per capita improvements or request additional general revenue we use this appropriation and a trust fund to make those changes to that so it's doesn't cost any general revenue and we need to make improvements are building. Anything else no ma'am not not the not right now. Thank you thank you. Senator just feel you're recognized yes miss each year for the purpose of releasing the Department of higher it from my whole. Okay they're happy people now. Thank you ma'am thank you Sir. Any other questions. All right well we're going to do is a do the House bills. Of the world take Hey H. B. ten eighty want to go all the way down to H. B. ten ninety four we're going to batch of this are all reappropriation is there is no new money if you have any relative or something that works for any of these entities and you want to pull out or want to pull out for any reason for a separate vote. Let me know or we're going back to all of on the House bills. Seeing none. Of we need a motion to approve. And a second any discussion all in favor say aye. That there is a do pass Transurban reminded me. Any of for against. The bridge the route reappropriation or passed all right we're going to the Senate bill will take up the Senate bill sixty ninth to go down to Senate bill eighty four these already appropriations no new money is in the authority to spend the money over the next fiscal year on ongoing projects any questions. Does any of these need to be pulled out the back. I have a motion do pass in a second any discussion all in favor say aye any opposed. All right.
