Members, please take your seats. I invite members, staff, press, guests in the gallery, please join us as we're led in prayer by Reverend John A. Fleming, First United Methodist Church in Sheridan. Please stand, and we'll be led
in Pledge of Allegiance following the prayer by Dr. Representative Billy Gaskell.
Speaker 5
1:32
Let us pray. Almighty God, we are reminded in the letter that Paul wrote to the church at Corinth that we are one body. It takes hands and feet working together to make the church be the church and the church that's out in the world. We pray, Lord, today that we would use our hands, our feet, our minds, our hearts to make a difference in this session in our state. We are reminded today of those who are far away For whom we love and remember Those who are in harm's way Who serve in our military
Bless them today And give us all your grace We

Bill 1. Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Senate Bill 1 from the Senate Efficiency Committee is the act for the expenses of the Arkansas Senate for the 88th General Assembly for the 2011 fiscal year.
I would entertain questions, but as all of you all know, the Senate sort of does its business a little differently than us in the House. I do know that it is $55,000 more than it was in 2009. The Senate, in all of its wisdom, I am sure, has justification for that. I would appreciate a good vote.
Heard an explanation of the bill. Any questions? Anyone wishing to speak against the bill?
Representative Hammer, what purpose? Question, please. Representative Lindsay has yielded the well. He's left the wheel. Anyone wishing to speak against the bill, for the bill? If not, the question for the House is passage of Senate Bill 1. Pair of the machine, Mr. Clerk. You're voting on the bill and the emergency clause.
Has everyone voted? Everyone voted. Cast up the ballot, Mr. Clerk. I vote of 86 yea, 6 nay, and 5 present. You have passed the bill and the emergency clause. Members, if you would please give your attention up into the gallery. We have members of Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association, Hot Springs Village Governmental Affairs Committee, and residents of Hot Springs Village.
They are guests of Representative Bruce Westerman. Please give
him a big hand. Representative Allen, you're recognized
for motion. After the announcement, reading of the bills, placing the calendars on the desk, amending members' own bills with their own amendments, members withdrawing their own bills, finalizing resolutions, reading communications, and in the remaining committee report, I move we adjourn to tomorrow at 1.30.
Thank you. Proper motion not debatable. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Opposed, no. Ayes, carry. No. we are down to announcements any
