Now, therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the 90th General Assembly of the state of Arkansas that the House of Representatives of the 90th General Assembly recognizes the Pine Bluff High School Zebras football team for its victories in two consecutive state football championships. Be it further resolved that upon adoption of this resolution
an appropriate copy be provided by the chief clerk of the House of Representatives to Bobby Boulding, Pine Bluff High School Zebra's football coach, and

House Resolution 1008 by Representative Flowers et al. to recognize the observance of National Whistleblower Day on July 30th to recognize the importance of America's first law protecting whistleblowers. Whereas on July 30th, 1778, the Founding Fathers unanimously passed America's first law to protect whistleblowers from retribution. And whereas whistleblowing is generally defined as a lawful disclosure of information reasonably believed to evidence a violation of law, rule, or regulation, or gross mismanagement,
or gross waste of funds, or abuse of authority, or the danger to public health or safety, and whereas whistleblowers risk their careers and reputations by reporting waste, fraud, and abuse to the proper authorities in order to promote accountability, integrity, honesty, fairness, and transparency, and whereas our current leaders should follow the tradition of defending whistleblowers to ensure our nation's laws offer protection to whistleblowers and whereas the commemoration of July 30th as National Whistleblowers Day recognizes
the first law protecting whistleblowers and it recognizes the importance of whistleblowers to our nation's transparency and accountability. Now therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the Nineteenth General Assembly of the state of Arkansas that the House of Representatives of the Nineteenth General Assembly recognizes the observance of National Whistleblower Day on July 30th recognizes the importance of America's first law-protecting whistleblowers. Be it further resolved, upon adoption of this resolution, an appropriate copy will be provided by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to Stephen Cohn, Executive Director of the National Whistleblower Center.
