No, no, no, no, there's a catwalk. I play. Good afternoon folks. If everybody will take their seat, we will get started on our very short meeting today. So one of the things that we have today on our agenda is the discussion and adoption of our draft final report. So that final report is here on your, under your, uh, agenda. That, so does anybody have some thoughts or ideas or questions that they would like to ask. Seeing none. Representative. Do I hear a motion to accept the draft report? Beg your pardon? Yes, OK. It is the proper time. OK. All right. Emotion in second, all in favor? A, all opposed. OK, and let's see, Miss Charlene fight. Where are you? She had, oh, OK, if you press your thing. Puncture. OK, she's gonna do you. You're wrong. All right, thank you so much for giving me this point of personal privilege. Go ahead. I'm just a teacher waiting for everyone to pay attention. Oh, OK. It's the other teacher. I think all of you got an email last night from a man saying he's the policy director, state policy manager for taxpayer protection Alliance, TPA and he was mentioning licenses that should be done away with in the state of Arkansas, and I agree we do have some licenses that need to be done away with, but one he mentioned specifically was the uh sign language interpreter licensure. I cannot tell you how strongly I disagree with doing away with that and since many of you are new and will be having new colleagues coming in and I'm on my way out the door. I wanted you to take up that mantle in case this does come forward. That was a bill that I sponsored in 2013. It was one of my very first bills, the deaf community of this state had been pushing for this for 20 years. They were at the mercy of people who would take their money, uh, say they were a sign language p re ter and then just go in a doctor's office and make up stuff or go on them with a job interview and makeup stuff. And anyone has the right to take their own interpreter as a relative or a friend that's interpreting for free, but if someone is taking money and advertising themselves as an interpreter. We want to be sure that they actually know what they are doing and that they're conveying a clear message to the deaf person and to the agency business or medical professional that they are seeing, so please, please, if this Come forward or you see more push for it. Don't let that happen. Thank you so much. Thank you very much. Is there any other business here? Seeing none, we are adjourned. C. Oh.
