I think that's a good question, and to our understanding that that is not the case.

requirements of background checks, particularly in the field of health care. Most people are responsible for caring for the senior citizens developmentally disabled. And what's happened is this has been a good move. Sometimes I think we've carried it a little bit far, but nonetheless what we've got is duplication of these background checks that are being done. The process is being duplicated. In other words, we'll have the criminal background check done and cleared for one particular

I know they have regularly scheduled meetings, and the times I've heard for them over the past many, many years have been during legislative sessions if there was a matter. So I know they meet frequently around legislative sessions if they have any issues on the table,

monthly meetings? As I recall, Representative Penartz, they have periodic meetings. Whether or not they have them every month, I'm not sure.

should have been all along. Thank you. Mr. Chairman, as you know, and many members who have been on public health before, any time you deal with the Article 17 and the disciplines of medical practice, it really gets hairy on this committee, but these things have evolved over time, and I think

from. Well, they, like most organizations, I guess they have various fees and dues and things of that sort that they pay. I'm not sure I know that. But I guess perhaps if, Mr. Chairman, with your permission, I'd ask that you recognize Mr. Mike Mitchell, who could perhaps shed some light on representing Mayberry's question. Sure. I hope I pronounced that right. But this will not be state funds. These are funds that the board has. So I appreciate a good vote. I'll try to respond to any questions, Mr. Chairman.
