you don't see a cut in there anywhere? No, I
Is there an increase for this department for the developmental disability services? Were they able to get an increase this time? I'm not talking salaries,
Bill 27, my Adobe's went out on my computer and I'm just now trying to get it up over here on Don's.
And I appreciate that, Mr. Malik. And just one more comment. I will be voting for this bill, but I will make it very well known that I will not vote if we're called back into a special session for a tax increase to cover these services if I find out that employees have been added with the services being cut. Thank you. I think that's appropriate. Thank you. Representative Stewart, for what purpose?
But where are we going to get the money? We keep dumping more and more and more on this program, but we're not putting any money with it. Where are you going to get the money? I never got the answer then. I'm still not getting the answer now. But what I don't want to see happen is to keep adding employees but cutting services. Can you tell me that that's not
And I did vote, and I believe it was Representative Moore that carried the Medicaid expansion. And my question at that time was, we're going to keep expanding this program, and I'm all for helping everybody that I can.
So if there's money that's going to appear, where would it
And I know the money's not there now, but what I'm reading is it's either coming from the tobacco settlement money, I think, because right under page 5, lines 8 and 9, and it talks about the tobacco settlement funds are not sufficient to finance the position. And then on 9, it says state funds will not be used to replace the tobacco settlement fund.
Thank you. Mr. Malick on House Bill 1037. I do understand now the question I asked the other day was the 61 positions, Are these new positions, or is there a body already in the chair and that kind of stuff? I did find out that it is 61 new positions that we would be adding to DHS for the Medicaid division. And what I'm still unclear of on page 5 of the bill is where's the money going to come to pay for these positions.
